Terms of Service

bWalletX (Beta) · Effective 18 October 2026

Please read these terms before using bWalletX. The short version: it's your wallet and your 12 words. We can't see them, recover them or move your money. Keep your words safe, start with small amounts while we're in beta, and remember that coin prices go up and down.

1. Who we are

bWalletX is published by The Bitcoin Corporation Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16735102), registered office Flat 6, 315 Barking Road, London, E13 8EE ("we", "us"). These terms cover bWalletX (the web wallet at web.bwalletx.com, the Chrome extension and the phone apps), bWallet (the edition on the App Store and Google Play), and this website, together "bWalletX".

By using bWalletX you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we handle and why.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to make a binding contract. You must not use bWalletX if you are subject to sanctions, or where using a Bitcoin wallet, swapping coins or any feature you use is against the law where you are. You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you, including on tax.

3. Self-custody: your keys, your responsibility

bWalletX is non-custodial. Your wallet is created on your device from a recovery phrase (your 12 words). Your private keys and 12 words stay on your device; we never receive or hold them, and we can't move, freeze or reverse your coins, tokens or NFTs.

4. What bWalletX does

bWalletX lets you hold and send Bitcoin SV (BSV), tokens and 1Sat Ordinal NFTs; use a paymail handle such as name@bwalletx.com; connect to apps through the open BRC-100 wallet interface; chat; buy digital items in the Store; send and receive bMail (letters that can carry a paid stamp or payment); join and host live audio Spaces; list and buy tokens and NFTs wallet to wallet; time-lock coins; launch your own token; run agent accounts with their own spending limits; ask our AI assistant, b; and swap other coins into BSV through a third-party partner. bWalletX also runs as a desktop app and in your browser. Related sites such as bchatx.com, bmailx.com, bcalx.com, bradiox.com, bjobsx.com, bnewsx.com and bstorex.com are part of bWalletX and covered by these terms. bWalletX is software. We are not a bank, an exchange, a broker or a payment service, and we don't hold money for you.

5. Handles and names

A handle (for example $name, which is name@bwalletx.com and also name@bmailx.com) lets people pay you. You must not claim a handle that impersonates someone else, infringes a trademark or is offensive. We may refuse, reserve, suspend or reassign a handle that breaks these terms or that a rights holder can show belongs to them. Because the paymail service is run by us, a handle depends on that service: it isn't the same as owning your keys, and your money stays in your wallet whatever happens to a handle.

6. No financial advice

Nothing in bWalletX, on this website or from b (our AI assistant) is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Prices, rates and balances shown are for information and may be delayed or wrong. Cryptoassets are high risk: their value can fall to zero, and they are not protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme or the Financial Ombudsman Service. Only use money you can afford to lose.

b is an AI. It can make mistakes, and it can't approve or send a payment for you: you always approve transactions yourself. Check anything important before you rely on it.

7. Third-party services

Some features are provided by other companies, under their own terms and privacy policies, which you accept with them when you use those features. We don't control them and aren't responsible for them.

We may be paid a share of fees by partners such as ChangeNOW. Where that applies, it is included in the rate you see.

8. Fees

bWalletX is free to download and use. When you send a transaction you pay the BSV network fee, shown before you approve. Swaps include the partner's fees, and may include a fee for us, within the estimate shown. Paid features, such as Store items or pay-per-message use of b, show their price before you pay. We may change prices for the future; a change never affects something you have already paid for.

9. Store purchases and refunds

The Store sells digital items, such as themes, paid in BSV from your wallet. The price is shown before you approve the payment. Each item is a licence to use it in bWalletX for your own, non-commercial use; it doesn't give you any ownership of the design or our intellectual property unless the item's page says otherwise (for example an NFT sent to your wallet, which you own and can transfer).

Because items are digital and delivered straight away, when you buy you ask us to deliver immediately and accept that you lose the usual 14-day right to cancel once delivery starts. This doesn't affect your legal rights: if an item is faulty, not as described or not delivered, contact us and we will repair or replace it or give you a refund in BSV to your wallet. Items bought through the App Store or Google Play are handled under Apple's or Google's refund rules.

9A. Payments, locks, tokens and agents

10. Acceptable use

You must not use bWalletX to:

If you break these rules we may remove content, suspend your handle, chat or other features run on our servers, and report illegal activity to the authorities. We can't take your coins: those stay in your wallet.

11. Open-source licence and trademarks

The bWalletX client is open source under the MIT licence, at github.com/bitcoin-corp/bwallet, and is based on the open-source Yours Wallet. The MIT licence covers the code: you may use, copy, change and share it on its terms. It does not give you rights to our names, logos or brand: "bWalletX", "bWallet", the gold b and related marks belong to The Bitcoin Corporation Ltd. If you publish your own build, give it a different name and logo so people don't mistake it for ours. Our servers and services (such as the paymail, chat and push services) are not open source and are provided under these terms.

Content you post stays yours. You give us a licence to store, show and send it as needed to run the features you use. Posts you put on the public blockchain are public and permanent, and neither you nor we can delete them.

12. Beta, availability and no warranty

bWalletX is in beta. It may have bugs, change, or be unavailable at times, and features may be added or removed. Test with small amounts. Your keys and coins stay on your device and on the blockchain whether or not our services are running, and you can restore your wallet from your 12 words in any compatible wallet.

To the extent the law allows, bWalletX is provided "as is" and "as available", without promises that it will be error-free, secure or uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that can't be excluded by law, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

13. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales.

Subject to that, we are not responsible for loss or damage:

Otherwise, our total liability to you for anything connected with bWalletX is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and £100.

14. Ending

You can stop using bWalletX at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or end your access to services we run if you break these terms or if we have to by law, and we may stop offering bWalletX, giving notice where we reasonably can. Either way, your coins remain yours and recoverable with your 12 words.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and in the source repository. For important changes we'll tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using bWalletX after that, the new terms apply.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there, and if you live elsewhere you keep any protections the law of your country gives you. Please contact us first: most problems can be sorted out quickly.

17. General

If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer these terms to anyone else; we may transfer them to another company that takes over bWalletX, without affecting your rights. These terms are in English, and the English version applies.
