Your register of members, on chain.
bShares is a bApp in bWalletX for companies. Keep your register of members. Issue shares as tokens. Lock each holding on chain, so the company and the holder both have a say.
Status: bShares is in testing with The Bitcoin Corporation Ltd. Not yet available to other companies.
Nothing on this page is live for users yet. Shares are not sold here. Holdings are restricted and not for sale.
How it works
The company keeps the register
The register of members is the legal title. bShares reads holdings from it, never from a list in the app.
Directors approve each allotment
A board minute is drafted in the company’s own format. A director approves it before any share is issued.
The holding is locked in multisig
The share token sits in the holder’s wallet, locked 2-of-2: one key for the director, one for the holder.
Built in testing
This is in code and being tested with The Bitcoin Corporation Ltd. It is not live for users.
- Register of members. Kept by the company in bit-sign. Certificate numbers are never reused.
- Allotment with a board minute. The minute is generated in the company’s format. A director approves it.
- Payment to a treasury multisig. A member pays in BSV to a 2-of-3 company treasury. The director keys live on separate devices.
- Share token, locked 2-of-2. Issued into the holder’s wallet, locked to the director and the holder together.
- Holders never depend on us. After a set block height, the holder can move their token alone, from their own seed. No server, no director needed.
- Overpayment, your choice. Pay too much and you choose: a refund within 14 days, or treat it as share premium.
- Authorised share ceiling. An allotment that would go over the company’s authorised shares is refused.
- Marked restricted. In the wallet, holdings show as “Restricted” and not for sale, in the Lock vault and under the Exchange “Shares” filter. There are no buy or sell buttons.
- Not in the store edition. bShares is left out of bWallet, the App Store and Google Play builds.
Coming planned
These are plans. They are not built yet.
- Set-up for any company. Your own name and ticker, import your register, add director keys, use your minute template.
- Share certificate cards. A card in the wallet for each holding. The multisig lock and hand-drawn signatures from bit-sign on the back, with the real contracts listed.
- One card per company. Many holdings shown together, for holders with large portfolios.
- Re-issue in the app. If a director key is lost, re-issue the holding to a new key under a board minute.
What bShares is not
It is not a place to buy shares. No shares are offered or sold on this site or in bWalletX.
bShares is a tool for a company to keep its own records and lock its members’ holdings.
