Kintsugi (金継ぎ): mending broken pottery with gold, so the repair shows.

b Kintsugi program

Overview · Work done so far

Help us build b. b Kintsugi is our program for building b itself: bWalletX, bChatX and the b*X apps. Users who want a fix or a feature pay other users to build it. Kintsugi turns each request into a priced job, matches it to a developer and takes a fee. Payment is peer to peer: the client pays the developer directly, wallet to wallet, and Kintsugi never holds the money. Verify your ID, show your setup, pass one entry task, and take paid work.

Kintsugi jobs also appear in bJobs. For other BSV-paid work, see bJobsX.com.

Help us build b See paid bounties

Who it is for

People who already work AI-first with Claude Code and want steady, small, well-defined jobs paid in Bitcoin: development, design, marketing, writing, testing. You choose which tasks to take and when to work.

How work arrives

From clients, through b

A user asks b for a fix or a feature. b writes it up as a task: what to change, how to test it, how long it should take and what it costs. The client accepts the price and the job opens.

From bounties

People post bounties for features and fixes they want. Each one carries a tag your pull request quotes to claim it.

The pay

$20 an hour to you, paid in BSV

Clients pay $25 an hour: $20 goes to you and $5 (20%) to Kintsugi as its fee, both straight from the client's wallet in the same transaction.

Converted at the BSV/USD rate on the day you are paid. Up to 8 billable hours per day. Each task is priced before you start, from its estimate, and the price is written into the contract. When the work is accepted, the client pays you directly, from their wallet to your $handle in bWalletX, peer to peer. The client pays for the work, not Kintsugi. Kintsugi never holds the money: its fee is a separate payment from the client in the same transaction.

Four steps

  1. A verified ID. Identity check by Veriff. We keep the result, not your documents.
  2. The right tools. A paid Anthropic Claude plan with Claude Code. No local models, no ChatGPT. Link your GitHub, declare your plan, and your Kintsugi commits carry the Co-Authored-By: Claude line.
  3. The entry test. One real task, done to spec in Claude Code and reviewed by us. Pass it and you are Kintsugi Level 1.
  4. Get certified. Levels go up with accepted work. Level 3 builders review others.

Three signatures on every job

The client

Wants the work, agrees the price, and pays the developer directly when the work is accepted.

The developer

Builds it to the spec and opens the pull request.

Kintsugi

Checks the spec, reviews the work, decides disputes and takes a fee. Never holds the money.

All three sign the same contract in bChatX before work starts. It sets the task, the price, the deadline and what counts as done. Delivered work belongs to the client once it is paid for, and is released under the Open BSV licence (code) and CC BY 4.0 (docs). If the client and developer disagree about whether the work is done, Kintsugi reviews it and decides.

Security tools you must run

Every pull request is checked before it is paid. You run these tools yourself, at your own cost. Tool and AI usage costs are yours and are not billable hours.

Attach the results to your pull request. Work without them is not reviewed or paid.

We are taking names now and will invite people in as the first paid tasks open. No ID documents here: the identity check happens later with Veriff. Everyone who signs up gets the b Kintsugi wallet theme free: black obsidian mended with gold.
