Coming from Money Button? Your coins never left.
Money Button (Yours Inc, 2018 to 2022) has shut down, but the coins are still on chain, at keys made from your 12 words. bWalletX finds them and moves them into your account, all on your device.
What you need
Your Money Button 12 words, and the passphrase if you set one. There is no server copy and no reset: the words are the wallet.
Steps in bWalletX
- Install bWalletX and open it, then create or restore a wallet.
- Open Settings › Account data › Sweep into this account.
- Paste your 12 words. If you set a passphrase, add it under Advanced: passphrase, custom path.
- bWalletX scans Money Button’s addresses and shows the balance. Check it, then tap Sweep.
What comes across
- BSV on your Money Button addresses, moved into your bWalletX account.
- Money Button tokens (SFP) are found and listed, but left untouched. Each one needs a signature from Money Button’s token server, gone since 2022. bWalletX keeps them out of the sweep so nothing gets destroyed.
- Old $name@moneybutton.com paymails no longer work. Claim a new $name in bWalletX.
Fees
A sweep moves coins in new transactions, so it pays the BSV network fee: a few sats. Nothing else. bWalletX doesn’t charge for restoring or sweeping.
Stay safe
- Only type your words inside the bWalletX app. Never into a website, a chat, a form, or for anyone offering to “recover” your wallet for you.
- bWalletX works out every key on your device. Your words are not sent anywhere.
- bWalletX is in beta: try a small amount first. The sweep screen offers a test sweep before the rest.
