Restore
Bring your SimplyCash coins home.
Had a SimplyCash wallet? bWalletX can find what’s in it from your recovery phrase and sweep it into your own bWalletX account. A few taps, on your own phone.
Four steps
- 1
Open the sweep screen
In bWalletX go to Settings › Account & safety › Sweep from another wallet. Setting up a new wallet? Restore › SimplyCash starts the same thing.
- 2
Paste your SimplyCash backup
Your 12-word recovery phrase, or SimplyCash’s full recovery string (words, path and passphrase joined by colons). A private key (WIF) or an xprv works too. Add a passphrase if you set one.
- 3
Let it look
bWalletX walks SimplyCash’s path
m/44'/145'/0'and the other common Bitcoin SV layouts, receive and change addresses, until 20 in a row are unused. It also tries the older derivation early SimplyCash wallets used, automatically. It shows the coins, NFTs and tokens it finds, in dollars. - 4
Sweep it home
Tick what to bring over and tap sweep. Your coins move into your bWalletX account in a few transactions (BSV, NFTs, then each token), paying the normal small network fee. The old phrase isn’t kept: from then on, your coins are protected by your bWalletX words.
Where’s my SimplyCash phrase?
Look for the backup you made when you set up SimplyCash: your 12-word recovery phrase or recovery string from your SimplyCash backup. People often wrote it on paper, saved it in a password manager or kept a screenshot. If you still have the SimplyCash app, its backup or settings area may show it again.
Stay safe
- Never share your phrase. Not with b, not in any chat, not with support. We will never ask for it.
- Type it only into the sweep screen, on your own device. The phrase stays on your phone and is cleared when you leave the screen; only public addresses are looked up online to find your coins.
- Unsure? Test first. For larger amounts (over about £500) bWalletX offers to sweep a small test amount first. Check it arrived, then scan again to sweep the rest.
Questions
It says nothing was found.
Check every word, and add your passphrase if your SimplyCash wallet had one (or paste the full recovery string, which carries it). The older SimplyCash derivation is tried automatically. You can also try a custom path under Advanced, or ask b in the app.
Does bWalletX keep my SimplyCash phrase?
No. It is held in memory only for the scan and the sweep, never stored and never sent to our servers.
Can I sweep other wallets?
Yes. The same screen takes recovery phrases from other Bitcoin SV wallets, private keys (WIF) and xprvs.
Is it in the App Store and Play versions?
Yes. Sweep from another wallet is in every bWalletX and bWallet build.
