Pots & Locks, and backing PNEEs

Locking BSV until a date, or paying it out to yourself over time, has been in bWalletX since 5.1.84. Today the Lock screen becomes Pots & Locks, so your locks are grouped by what they are for.

What changed

The screen opens with two buttons, Lock BSV and + Pot, and one total for everything in your pots, with Claim when a payout is ready.

Below that, your locks are grouped into pots. A lock started from a template, such as Pension, Savings goal, Holiday fund or Rainy-day fund, goes into that pot. Locks you made before pots existed sit under Other locks. Tap a pot to see its locks and add another.

With no locks yet, you see a Start a pot card with the templates, so you can begin from a goal rather than a blank form.

Nothing taken away

Every lock feature stays: one unlock date or payouts over time, the payout curves, templates, claim, re-lock, receipts and the public check at bwalletx.com/lock/verify. A lock still can’t be broken early, not even by you. The grouping is just a label in your wallet. The coins don’t depend on it.

Backing PNEEs

PNEEs are our BSV-backed dollar token, in a small pilot since post 011. The lock button on the PNEEs card now opens a Back PNEEs card that explains what backing means, then asks how much BSV to lock.

Continue opens the normal lock builder, filled in for you: a lock called “PNEEs backing”, one unlock date a year out, in the PNEEs pot. You review it and type LOCK to confirm, like any other lock. The lock then shows as your PNEEs pot, at the top of Pots & Locks.
