Digital Ice-Cream

A story about three friends, an ice-cream stand and digital cash, and where we’re taking bWalletX next.

Here’s where we’re taking bWalletX. It’s easiest to tell as a story.

Fred, Joe and You

Fred, Joe and You open an ice-cream stand. Real ice cream, in real cones. Customers pay in digital cash from their phones.

You agree the split up front: Fred 30%, Joe 30%, You 40%. Every sale is split the moment it’s paid. Nobody does the sums at the end of the month, and nobody has to trust whoever holds the till.

Shares that stay put

Each partner’s share is locked. It takes the partners together to move it, so no one can quietly sell out or hand theirs to a stranger.

Max joins

Summer gets busy and Max comes in to help, for 10%. Everyone gives up a little: the split becomes Fred 27%, Joe 27%, You 36%, Max 10%. The partners agree it together, and from the next cone on, the money follows the new split.

b keeps the paperwork

The partners talk in their own private chat. When they agree something, like Max joining, b drafts it there for everyone to read and approve.

One day the stand may become a proper company. The same record carries over, so they don’t start from scratch.

What works today

Coming: Partnership shares, which tie these together. They aren’t built yet.
