bPhone. Get paid to take the call.

Calls in bWalletX are free. bPhone lets you charge for yours: a price per second, minute or hour, or a one-off price per call, in BSV, MNEE or a token. The caller sees the price before your phone rings, agrees a maximum, and their wallet pays yours every few seconds while you talk. For therapists, solicitors, accountants, tutors, coaches, developers: anyone whose time is the product.

Live since 5.1.87 bPhone is in bWalletX (not the store edition). It is new: start with small prices while we test it with real payments.

What the caller sees

alice@bwalletx.com charges to receive calls
$2.00 / min, paid in BSV
Paid every 10 seconds from your wallet while you talk. You can hang up any time.
Max spend on this call
$30 ≈ 15 min$60 ≈ 30 min$120 ≈ 60 min

Nothing rings until the caller accepts. During the call both phones show the money: the caller sees what has gone out and a warning 30 seconds before their maximum, you see what has arrived and that the caller is paid up. When the call ends, both see the total.

How it works

What a call costs

You chargePaid inPayment everyA 30-minute call
$2.00 / minBSV, at the live rate10 s ($0.34, then $0.33…)$60.00 in sats, over 180 payments
90 MNEE / hourMNEE60 s (1.50 MNEE)45 MNEE
1 BOB / secondyour BOB token60 s (60 BOB)1,800 BOB
$50 per callBSVonce, when you answer$50.00

Each BSV payment carries the normal network fee (about 25 sats) and is never smaller than 546 sats, so very low rates are better charged in MNEE or a token. Rounding is exact over the whole call: the caller pays what the rate says, never a cent more.

Why in the wallet

Paid consultations usually mean a platform in the middle: it takes a cut, holds the money, decides who gets paid and when, and keeps the client list. bPhone has no middle. The price is published under your own identity key, the call runs over bWalletX’s own video server, and every payment goes from the caller’s wallet to yours while you are still talking. bWalletX takes 0%.

Your existing names work: callers reach you at your $handle or paymail, and your listing is tied to the same identity your signature uses. If you have a personal token, you can charge in it, which gives your holders something to spend it on.

Not in the store edition

bWallet, the App Store and Google Play edition, keeps free voice and video calls and never shows a price. Charging for calls and the directory are bWalletX only, pending the store rules on person-to-person services.

Your responsibilities

You are selling your time to people you may not know. Any licence, insurance, confidentiality or tax rule that applies to your profession applies here too; bPhone does not check qualifications, and the directory shows your own words next to your paymail. Calls are not recorded by bWalletX. Report and block work inside the call, as on every call.
