Sign in with bWalletX, and the Lounge
bChat now has one gold button to sign in with your wallet. Every account starts in the bWallet Lounge.
One button
bChat's sign-in page used to offer a long list. Now there is one gold bWalletX button at the top, with X and Google under it and the rest under "More ways".
The button works three ways:
- with the bWalletX extension in Chrome or Brave;
- with bWalletX on your phone, by scanning a QR code;
- with the web wallet at web.bwalletx.com.
bChat sends a challenge, your wallet signs it with your identity key, and bChat checks the signature. No password. If your wallet already has a bChat account, you land in that account instead of a new one.
Rooms and share links
Token rooms on bChat now offer bWalletX first. Room share cards and offer emails used to say HandCash only; now they say you can sign in with bWalletX.
We also fixed a rough edge. If you weren't signed in and opened an open room like the Lounge, you got "Unauthorized". Now you get a sign-in prompt.
The Lounge
The bWallet Lounge is the room where everyone who uses the wallet can talk to each other and to us. Every account is now in it by default. If you leave, you stay left; we don't add you back.
