1 BSV for testing bWallet on Android
Google needs 12 people to test bWallet for 14 days before it can go on the Play Store. We are paying 1 BSV for that time.
Update, 7 Oct 2026: Google required an organisation developer account for bWallet, so the closed test has to be set up and submitted again. We have no new start date yet. The tester payments described below have not changed; the Testers page has the current state.
Why we are paying
Google won't let a new developer account publish an app on the Play Store until at least 12 people have tested it for 14 days in a row.
We don't have 12 people sitting around with Android phones. So we are paying for their time: 1 BSV each.
How it works
- Go to bwalletx.com/testers, sign in with the Google account on your Android phone and apply.
- I read every application and approve testers by hand. If you're in, I add your email to the Google Play test and your tester code appears on the page.
- Join the test on Google Play and install bWallet from there, not the APK from this site.
- Open bWallet, go to Settings › Testing and enter your code. The app checks in once a day when you open it.
What you get
- 0.25 BSV after you first open the app installed from Google Play.
- 0.75 BSV once you've checked in on at least 12 of the 14 days.
It goes to your own bWallet receive address. I pay each one by hand and the transaction id shows on the page.
The rules
- Payment never depends on ratings or reviews. Please don't leave a review because of this; Google doesn't allow paid reviews. Report bugs in the app instead, under Settings › Contact and reports.
- I can say no, or remove a place if something looks wrong.
- There are 20 places.
While you test, the app sends a random install id, your tester code, whether it came from Google Play, and the app version. That's in the privacy policy.
