Meet bChatX.com
Chat has a new home: www.bchatx.com. It is the same chat you know from bWalletX, built for the web, and it looks like the wallet.

bChatX uses the bWalletX colours: dark, with yellow only where it matters, such as the button you are meant to press. Along the bottom is the same kind of bar as the app: Feed, Rooms, b, Spaces and DMs.
In the top bar is a wallet chip. If you are signed in it shows your $handle with a dot. If you are not, it says Get bWalletX.
Your wallet is bWalletX
bChatX does not make you a second wallet. Your wallet is bWalletX. When you do something with money, such as a tip, a paid like or joining a token room, bChatX opens bWalletX and the wallet asks you to approve it. Your keys stay there.
That is also why sign-in starts with Sign in with bWalletX. Google and LinkedIn are still there, under More ways, but they don’t give you a wallet. You can read and post, and when you want to pay someone you will need bWalletX anyway.
A faster feed
The feed used to load after the page, so you watched it fill in. Now the posts arrive with the page itself. On a normal connection that is about half a second from opening the link to reading.
Safety in the feed
The feed shows posts from other BSV apps as well as bChat. That brings in things we don’t control, so there are new switches:
- Show Twetch posts. A switch to hide or show them. Twetch stays in All by default.
- Language. On posts from other apps, slurs are hidden and swearing is masked.
- Images. Images from other apps are blurred until you tap them.
- Report. Every post has a report button.
Nothing is deleted from the chain. These are choices about what bChatX shows you.
The other addresses
bitcoinchat.online and bit-sign.online will point to bChatX over time. If you have bookmarks there, they will keep working and lead to the same place.
